About Me

My name is Ernest Eugene Mallett.  I am a software engineer working with The SSI Group and have previously been a C# development instructor, Lead Developer, Team Lead, and other positions with other companies. I have been programming since I was 8 years old, starting with Basic and working my way up.   My first love was PHP, developing websites and data collection interfaces.

I learned C# and .NET through video game development working with the Unity Game Engine. I have also taken the Computer Programming Aptitute Battery (CPAB) with a score of 95, the C#5.0 analysis from SHL Online with a percentile score of 45%, and I have obtained my Professional Scrum Developer certification.  In 2007 I scored 3rd in the Alabama state Cyber Security Competition.

In 2008 I joined the United States Marine Corps and was an Electronic-Intelligence Intercept Analyst/Operator.  Shortly after arriving at my first duty-station I was retrained as a Communications Signals Collection Operator/Analyst.  During my time I was the systems administrator for my units Technical Control and Analysis Center, and I was commended on my abilities to gather information and through proper analysis convert it to actionable intelligence.
